    Routine maintenance is being completed on the WJCT News 89.9 and JME - Jacksonville Music Experience FM radio broadcast tower starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 24. Most of the audience area will not be affected, but there is a chance of reduced signal.

    During that time, our radio service will continue to be available via online streaming at wjct.org/listen, the WJCT Public Media app or via smart speakers (i.e. Amazon Alexa or Google Home). Thank you for your patience while this work is completed.

    Maintenance began, and audio was interrupted at 1:00 a.m. All stations returned to broadcast and streaming at 1:06 AM.

    We are planning to perform a scheduled maintenance on our radio equipment Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 1:00 a.m. All of WJCT Public Media's radio broadcasts and digital audio streams will be temporarily unavailable during that time. It is expected to cause an brief outage of about 10 minutes.

    Unfortunately, we cannot take any further action to resolve this issue, and we must close it as unresolved.

    We have heard back from TuneIn. They have said that they will not add the Classical 24 station. We will reach out to our NPR and TuneIn contacts to resolve this.

Factors contributing to this decision may include, but are not limited to, insufficient listening data or licensing requirements. We’ll keep your station information on file and we will contact you if anything changes on our end. Thank you for your support of TuneIn.

    We have heard back from iHeartRadio. They are working on adding our stations, which will result in the JME Jacksonville Music Experience radio stations being available on the iHeartRadio website, app and Alexa and Google Home. We will post an update here when that work is completed.

    We have heard back from NPR, and unfortunately, they are unable to support additional subchannel stations on the NPR Alexa and Google Home skill. They currently do not have support for HD subchannels on their roadmap.

    Users have reported that they cannot stream WJCT Public Media's JME stations on the Google Home platform.

    On the iHeart & NPR skill, only WJCT News 89.9 is available.

    On the TuneIn Live skill, WJCT News 89.9, WJCT Anthology, WJCT Electro Lounge Radio and WJCT Radio Reading Service are available.

    However, when asked "Hey Google, play WJCT Anthology on TuneIn Live," Google Home replies "I looked for WJCT Anthology on TuneIn Live, but it either isn't not available or can't be played right now."

    We are reaching out to our contacts at NPR, TuneIn and iHeart to resolve this.

Some Users Unable To Login To PBS Passport On WJCT Apps

    We have determined that this issue is only impacting users that have different email addresses on their PBS Passport account and on file with WJCT. At this time, the only workaround is to change the email address that WJCT has on file to match your PBS Passport account email address. If you are impacted by this issue, please contact WJCT at 904-358-6360 or at audienceservices@wjct.org, and we will correct our files to match. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this issue.

    A possible cause has been identified, and we are currently working on finding a fix for the issue.

    Thank you for your patience. We are still investigating this incident. We are working with PBS Digital Support and our app developer, Public Media Apps, to find the cause of the issue.

    Multiple users have reported that they are unable to use log into their PBS Passport account on the WJCT iOS and Android apps. Users are receiving an incorrect error message that says "Your account is not is not enabled to view WJCT Passport content." We are currently investigating this incident.

    Logging into PBS Passport at wjct.tv, pbs.org and the PBS apps do not seem to be affected. We recommend using those platforms until the issue is resolved.
